Graduate Teaching Associate
I was the instructor for EDP 201 Human Development and Learning in Social and Educational Contexts at Miami University. I taught four sections of the course over the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters. The course provided an examination of theoretical issues and principles of human development and learning, including developmental changes, motivational and learning processes, disabilities/exceptionalities and other individual differences, and dynamics of social groups.
Instructor
I designed and taught an Advanced Placement Psychology for gifted and talented high school students attending the Academic Talent Development Program (ATDP) at the University of California, Berkeley. The course was built around discussion and interactive classwork, such as the analysis of medical case studies and current events. Students also carried out a final research project with a small group. I taught the class in the summer from 2013 to 2016.
